Our verdict

ToonieBet is a licensed Ontario casino that really does let you start with C$10 on Interac or MuchBetter, and its lobby is big and well supplied with providers. Card withdrawals can take up to five days, bonus wagering is reported at 20x, and the minimum climbs to C$20 for cards. It suits budget-minded Ontario players who bank by Interac or an e-wallet. It is a weaker fit for card users who want fast cash-outs.

What works

  • C$10 minimum deposit on Interac and MuchBetter, per casinos.com
  • Library reported at roughly 2,900 to 3,500 titles from 35-plus providers
  • Exclusive Gold Saloon live tables from Evolution
  • Deposit and loss limits, breaks of one day to three months and a CPGI self-assessment
  • 24/7 live chat, phone support and a five-level VIP club

What does not

  • Visa and Mastercard withdrawals can take up to 5 days
  • Cards and Skrill need C$20 to deposit, double the headline figure
  • Bonus wagering is reported at 20x, which is steep
  • Sources disagree on game counts, with 2,900 to 3,500 quoted
  • Instant identity checks may frustrate some new players

Low minimum deposits are easy to advertise and harder to deliver. A casino can say "from C$10" while the fine print asks for C$20 on the card you actually own. So for ToonieBet we read the banking details first, then everything else. We did not fund an account for this piece. The site refused automated access, which is why our evidence comes from named third-party reviews, and each figure is credited to the page it came from.

ToonieBet is for people located in Ontario and aged 19 or over. It launched in the province in April 2024, according to casinos.com and gambling.com.

The C$10 claim, checked

The figure is real but narrow. Casinos.com's FAQ puts the minimum at C$10 for Interac or MuchBetter and C$20 for Visa, Mastercard and Skrill, while its summary box says C$30, so that one page contradicts itself. Gambling.com's Ontario page gives C$10 flatly. Our reading: C$10 is the floor on the cheapest methods, and it is wise to assume C$20 on cards until the cashier says otherwise.

For anyone watching a budget, that distinction matters more than any lobby feature. A C$10 test deposit lets you see the cashier, the verification flow and the speed of a small withdrawal before you put in more.

Getting money out

Casinos.com lists Visa, Mastercard, Interac and Skrill, with MuchBetter mentioned in the text. It says Skrill and MuchBetter withdrawals take about 48 hours, while Visa and Mastercard can take up to five days. Gambling.com lists Interac, Visa, Skrill, Skrill 1-Tap and MuchBetter and gives one to five business days overall. Both put the long end at five days for cards.

That is slower than the best Ontario casinos and explains our score. If you want money back within a day, choose an e-wallet, and verify your identity as soon as you register so the first payout is not held up. Casinos.com notes that identity checks are instant, which some players may find intrusive.

The gambling.com ToonieBet Casino review, headed Exclusive Live Dealer Games, noting a 2024 launch and a library of 3,500-plus games.

A big library, with counts that do not agree

Reviewers disagree on the size of the lobby. Casinos.com counts about 3,400 games, including 2,500-plus slots, 650-plus jackpot slots, 180-plus live games and 57 table games. Gambling.com says "over 2,900" from more than 35 providers in the Ontario review and "3,500-plus" in the general one. Whatever the exact number, the lobby is large, and the supplier list is varied: Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, Playtech, Red Tiger, Relax Gaming, Play'n GO and Evolution are all named.

The live section has one distinct feature. Gambling.com says the Gold Saloon live games, supplied by Evolution, are exclusive to ToonieBet. If you want live blackjack or roulette that other Ontario brands do not host, that is a real reason to look. Table choice overall is thinner, and casinos.com notes you cannot filter table games for RNG titles.

Bonuses: read before you accept

This is the murkiest area. Ontario restricts how bonuses can be advertised, and the pages we read say little. Gambling.com lists a 20x wagering requirement and calls the bonus conditions high. Sports Illustrated's promo page for ToonieBet describes a $150 bonus-bet offer, but states that Ontario players do not receive the welcome bonus, because Ontario has its own version of the site. So a headline offer you see elsewhere may not apply to you. Read the Ontario cashier terms, and never treat bonus money as a route to profit.

Safer-gambling tools and support

Casinos.com lists deposit and loss limits by day, week and month, breaks from one day to three months, a self-assessment based on the Canadian Problem Gambling Index, and chat help. Support is 24/7 live chat, phone from 9am to 6pm Eastern daily, and email. There is also a five-level VIP club offering cashback and higher withdrawal limits; join it only if you would play that much anyway. ConnexOntario's line is 1-866-531-2600.

Licence and operator

Casinos.com gives the registration as OPIG1280338, regulated by iGaming Ontario and the AGCO, with a Malta address. Gambling.com says the operator is Canadix Limited, incorporated in Malta. One dissenting site claimed the opposite, that ToonieBet is not AGCO-registered. We could not reach the AGCO register, so check it before depositing; a licence you verify beats any review.

Who it suits

Open an account if you are in Ontario, bank by Interac or an e-wallet, and want a large lobby from a C$10 start. Skip it if you pay by card and want same-day cash-outs, or if you are drawn by a bonus you may not get. We rate it 6.9: a cheap, roomy casino whose payout speed and bonus terms keep it from the top of the Ontario table.
